Early voting for Saeima election begins in Latvia

Take note – story published 2 years ago

As of Monday, September 26, an early vote can be cast at the Saeima elections. Residents who cannot go to elections on Saturday, which is the official election day, can put their ballot in storage, Latvian Radio reported.

This option will be available at 66 polling stations throughout Latvia. A list of these stations is available on the Central Election Commission's website.

Early voting can be done on three days: Monday from 17:00 to 20:00, Thursday from 9:00 to 12:00, and Friday from 10:00 and 16:00.

Those who have cast their votes in advance will be allowed to reconsider and vote again on October 1. The vote in storage will then not be counted.

The parliamentary elections will take place on Saturday, October 1 between 7:00 to 20:00.

There are 19 lists of candidates registered for Saeima elections, with 1,829 candidates.
