Evidence obtained by the KNAB shows that "the former chairman of the Rezekne City Council, motivated by personal reasons and encouraged by a family member, instructed a municipal employee to obtain information from a database available for the performance of her official duties. The employee passed on the restricted information she had obtained regarding several real estates to the aforementioned public official, who disclosed the information to the family member," the KNAB statement reads.
