PM cancels meetings this week due to health reasons

Latvian Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis has cancelled the meetings planned this week due to health reasons, the prime minister's spokesman, Andrejs Vaivars, said.

This means that the meetings with the ministers planned this week to discuss implementation of the government's action plan have also been cancelled.

While on Friday the Prime Minister had planned to partake in the memorial events dedicated to the 1991 barricades.

The prime minister expects to be back to work next week, the spokesman said.
