On Thursday afternoon the National Armed Forces (NBS) tweeted that NATO Baltic Air Police (BAP) F-16 jets took to the skies to hastily intercept a Russian Armed Forces military electronic surveillance plane Ilyushin Il-20 over neutral waters in the Baltic Sea.
