On Sunday, May 12, morning, the State Police received information that the corpse of a newborn baby was found in a garbage container in a parking lot at Bangu Street 61 in Ventspils. The State Police opened criminal proceedings.
The State Police would appreciate information from the public. The police are appealing to citizens who have information about women who were pregnant but do not have a baby in their care. Any information is useful for the investigation and will be checked. The State Police guarantees anonymity.
Citizens who were in the parking lot on the night of May 11-12 and can provide useful information about vehicles or persons who were in or around the lot, as well as car owners whose vehicles are equipped with video recorders, are also invited to come forward.
