As reported, this week, applications for the first draft of VAD, scheduled for July 1, began on the joint platform klustikaravirs.lv. According to Mūrniece, if on Tuesday there were 40 applications, on Thursday the number had risen to 90. There is still time until May 15 to apply.
She said that the most concerning thing currently is the health state of the applicants.
"The health checks must be serious. It is the thing that I feel is very important. Everything else can be done. One can train, can solve discipline problems. Good instructors can motivate the youth. And we want good instructors who can not only teach professional skills but also motivate," said Mūrniece.
The second draft, planned for January 1, will already be mandatory and random selection will apply, favoring volunteers.
