"During the meeting, the defense ministers will discuss regional security issues, bilateral cooperation between the two countries in NATO's Baltic airspace patrol mission, as well as cooperation in the field of military capability development," said the Latvian Defense Ministry.
As previously reported, in March of this year, Latvia took over the hosting duties of NATO's Baltic airspace patrol mission for nine months, while repairs are underway at the Estonian Air Force base in Amari. More NATO planes also operate out of Šiauliai in Lithuania.
