Soldiers from the NATO presences in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia will conduct engineering exercises and demonstrations of capabilities during the training, improving mutual cooperation in combat conditions.
The multinational battle group in Latvia is led by Canada and consists of more than 1,700 soldiers from Albania, the Czech Republic, Italy, Iceland, Canada, Montenegro, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and North Macedonia, who are on duty in Latvia on a rotating basis.
Local residents are being advised that during the military exercises, there may be temporary road traffic disturbances on the public roads around the Ādaži base. The national armed forces call for an understanding approach to the military exercises taking place in Latvia, which are aimed at strengthening the country's national defense and NATO's collective security.
