Rīga's 2nd hospital overloaded with injuries

Due to the influx of injured patients, the work of Riga 2nd Hospital specializing in traumatology and orthopedics has been overloaded.

A decision has been made to cancel elective surgeries by Friday, February 2, or by the next announcement, the hospital said.

The exception will apply to endoprosthetic surgeries, the hospital said.

According to the hospital, the number of acute patients seeking help is at least 50 and more in recent days, with half of those affected having been injured on the street. Most often, victims have typical fractures to their hands and arms.
