Of 2,253 tests carried out, 20.5% were positive, resulting in 462 confirmed new cases of infection. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 population rose again from 228 Thursday to 241, keeping it over the 200 threshold which marks a "very high risk" situation according to the national "traffic light" warning level system.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 836,259 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.
