Dozens of Ukrainians employed in Latvian healthcare

Take note – story published 1 year ago

82 medical employees from Ukraine have started work in Latvian medical institutions, the Minister for Health, Daniels Pavļuts (Development/For!) said on Twitter July 6.

In order to make it easier for Ukrainian medics to participate in new jobs, specialists at Stradiņš Hospital and Riga East Hospital help them to acquire the necessary skills via a three-day training course organized by the Development Society of Stradiņš Hospital.

Document acquisition is facilitated and knowledge of Latvian language is not required for Ukrainian medical professionals to work in the medical field.

Initially, the interest of Ukrainian medical workers in employment in Latvia was not high but now has evidently picked up.
