Over 100,000 people got their Covid-19 jab last week

Last week, a total of 101,139 people were vaccinated against Covid-19, according to the Vaccination Project Bureau's information published May 26.

Currently, at least 28.14% of Latvian population aged 16 and over have received the first vaccine dose, whereas 12.59% have completed the course.

Last week's number did not exceed the record set the week before when 102,035 people got a jab, but still hit the goal of 100,000 per week which means that on average around 1% of the population is vaccinated in one day.
