She said that the contributions, which by now have exceeded €415,000, have been made both by private individuals and companies that make the payments for their employees.
The National Health Center’s data shows that on average 30 to 50 such contributions are made per day, but that on some days in December the number of contributions rose to more than 100.
Residents who do not have state health insurance are required to make a payment of €206.40 to have access to all healthcare services paid for by the state as of January 1 next year.
