People vaccinated against or overcome Covid-19 are allowed not to wear face masks in collective groups also if there are unvaccinated against Covid-19 people in the room, who are still required to use the mask, the government decided on Tuesday, July 6.

The Ministry of Health explained in the amendment annotation: given that there is still a steady decline in Covid-19 morbidity, it is possible to reduce the precautionary and safety measures for persons vaccinated against Covid-19 or those who have had the disease.

It is possible to remove the requirement for those persons to use mouth-and-nose masks in controlled collective bodies, as the risks of infection have proven to be low.

The use of masks for these individuals can be done away with at workplaces, amateur collectives, educational establishments, and similar establishments, where it is possible to control the presence of vaccination or disease certificates, said VM.

VM said that facial masks should only be used in rooms where there is a great crowding of people and it is not possible to observe 2-meter distance, for example in public transport and elsewhere in public areas with dense human flow. The amendments enter into force immediately.
