Last week, 6,908 new cases of Covid-19 were discovered.
The number of patients in hospitals fell by 4%, and on Monday, there were 167 people in hospitals with Covid-19' as the primary diagnosis. Six of them had severe symptoms of the disease.
During the previous week, the number of Covid-19 cases fell across all age groups. The number of newly identified cases has decreased in all Latvian municipalities.
The Center warns that, like every autumn, the incidence of upper respiratory infections will increase in the coming weeks so residents should be responsible and not go out in public with infection symptoms.
