Youth aged 16 and over will start getting jabs next week in Latvia

Next week, from May 17, 16-year-olds will be able to apply for vaccination against Covid-19, Health Minister Daniels Pavļuts told the government May 13.

Young people are planning to be vaccinated with the vaccine produced by Pfizer/BioNTech.

People aged 16 and over will be able to apply on manavakcina.lv or by calling 8989, or contacting the office where vaccination is carried out.

In total, around 617,000 doses of different vaccines have been delivered to Latvia so far and 422,000 doses have been used.

Currently 22% of the population has been vaccinated in Latvia, of which 16% have received the first dose, while 6% of the population has completed the full vaccination course.
