Donations open for Latvia's 'High Five!' charity drive

Friday, December 1, sees the donation lines open for annual "High Five!" (Dod Pieci!") charity marathon in Latvia.

The website www.dod.pieci.lv is open for donation to help children and young people at risk in Latvia. Everyone can exchange a donation starting from 5 euros for hearing their favorite song on the air of youth radio station Latvian Radio 5.

"Each donation in exchange for a song is an essential part of the story of the 'High Five!' charity marathon," said Latvian Radio 5 director Kārlis Kazāks of the tenth year of the December donation drive.

This year's "Give Five!" anthem also premieres today, featuring popular band Sudden Lights and rapper Gustavo.

From December 1 to 21, on the website www.dod.pieci.lv , it is possible to make a donation in exchange for hearing your favorite song on the airwaves.

From December 1 to 21, you can also donate at all "Circle K" filling stations, where both cash and non-cash donations will be accepted. This year, just like last year, Circle K has pledged to double the amount of donations received at its gas stations.

From December 15 to 21, when the main event is being staged, cash and non-cash donations will also be accepted at the charity marathon glass studio in Old Riga's Dom Square right outside the Latvian Radio building.

Until January 6, 2024, donations will be accepted on the website of the charity organization Ziedot.lv, www.ziedot.lv , by selecting the "Dod Pieci" project.

"High five!" is organized by Latvian Radio in cooperation with Latvian Television and public media portal LSM.lv. The project partner is the charity organization Ziedot.lv.
