Latvian post to issue new annual Christmas stamps

Take note – story published 1 year ago

Latvian Post will issue three new postage stamps in the traditional Christmas series on Friday, November 11, so that every resident can send holiday greetings in time, LP said November 8.

The postage design uses miniature sculptures made by the artist Evija Ķivule. The author of the design is artist Ģirts Grīva.

This year's Christmas postage stamps have a QR code embedded in them so the user can obtain useful information online, such as postage tariff groups and countries to which they can be used for mailing purposes.

The new postage stamps will initially be available  in the largest city mail departments, as well as in the Latvian Post e-shop.
