Italian pilots with the NATO Baltic Air Police (BAP) scrambled to the air Friday to intercept a Russian Naval Aviation Ilyushin IL-38 – a maritime patrol and anti-submarine aircraft that strayed near to Latvian airspace while flying along the neutral corridor over the Baltic Sea.
