In October, almost all observation stations recorded an excess of the monthly rainfall norm, and the final days of October will also be rainfall-rich, albeit warm.
At night to Sunday, Latvia was approached by the warm atmospheric front, which will bring not only a lot of clouds but also a lot of precipitation on Monday. Some four centimeters of a snow layer might form in some places, but snow will be replaced by rain during the day. On Monday the air temperatures will be within +7 C to +12 C.
Tuesday and Wednesday will also see mostly cloudy and rainy weather. Although it will rain only in places during the day, the night to Wednesday will bring rain throughout Latvia – even very heavy rains are expected in some places.
The northeast and east winds will gradually intensify on Tuesday, with gusts reaching speeds of 15 meters per second (m/s) on the coast. Temperatures will range around +5 C to +10 C both during the day and at night.
In the second half of the week, as atmospheric pressure rises, rainfall will only be seen in places and it will get slightly cooler as the air will cool to -1 C to +6 C.
It will rain again during the weekend with winds intensifying, reaching 15-17 m/s in gusts. It will get a little warmer on Saturday and Sunday.
