Tuesday will be overcast, occasionally raining and air temperatures across the country will be above zero.
On Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures will start to drop slowly, in many places ice will form. On Thursday evening and on Friday night, the sky will be clear, and the north-west wind will bring colder air.
By early Friday morning the air temperature will have slipped to -6 C to -11 C, down to -15 in Vidzeme. Sun will shine on Friday.
Over the weekend there will be clouds again, it will get slightly warmer, and snow, wet snow and rain are expected.
