The coldest weather is expected on Tuesday night, when the air temperature will drop to around -10 degrees in the central and eastern parts of the country, but on Wednesday, with warmer winds arriving from the south west, the air temperature in the afternoon will reach +2 to + 5 C.
Thru the second half of the week, temperatures will continue to rise slowly, but frosts are expected at night. Every day, some parts of Latvia will be affected by rainfall and occasional sleet.
The warmest weather is expected on Sunday when the temperature will rise to between +5 C and + 10 C.
Long-term forecasts point to a high probability that after March 20, Latvia will have much drier and warmer weather, with air temperatures likely to reach +15 C.
