In many places the sun will shine, with precipitation expected infrequently only in eastern regions in the form of snow of sleet. Air temperatures will be very mild - from zero to +5 degrees, making it ideal for a walk through the countryside or a bit of skiing to work off some Christmas over-indulgence.
No significant rainfall is expected in Riga, winds will be from the northwest wind and could reach up to 15 meters per second.
But with temperatures hovering either side of freezing, it's still worth being wary of patches of ice as they form and melt, particularly for motorists.
