Take note – story published 1 year ago

Lāčplēsis Day on November 11 will be warm in Latvia and a temperature record is likely to be hit, according to forecasts by weatherman Toms Bricis.

The sky will mostly be overcast, with a little rain in the central and eastern part of the country. The south-west wind will intensify, gusting 9-14 meters per second, on the north and northwest coast to 15-18 meters per second.

Maximum air temperature will be between +9 C and +13 C.

Until now, the highest air temperature of November 11 in Latvia was in 2008, when it reached +13.0 C in Jelgava.

It is expected that on Saturday the weather in some parts of Latvia will even reach +15 C, which would break the record set in 1944.
