Warm and sunny weather week in store across Latvia

Take note – story published 2 years ago

This week will be a warm and mainly sunny one, according to LSM weatherman Toms Bricis.

Every day should receive a good dose of sunshine, albeit with occasional thunderstorms and showers in different parts of the country. However the odd rain burst will also help keep the air fresh and not too humid.

Winds will be mostly slow northerlies in the first half of the week, but the direction is likely to change later in the week.

Air temperatures in the afternoons will range from +23 Celsius to + 27 C degrees, a few degrees colder along the coast. Night-time temperatures will be in the range night +10 C to + 15 C degrees, though parts of Kurzeme could dip to up to +8 C.

The weather will remain fairly settled until next Sunday when a cold cyclonic front will reach our region, bringing a gusty westerly wind, rain, thunderstorms and colder temperatures. However, it is unlikely to last too long and most of next week should also be fine according to longer-range forecasts.
