No significant rainfall is expected though a moderate westerly wind will blow. In Kurzeme region it will intensify in gusts to 14 meters per second.
The maximum air temperature on Tuesday will be from +8 to +14 degrees Celsius with coastal areas slightly cooler than inland.
In the second half of the week, the amount of cloud cover will increase and thunderstorms can be expected, bringing heavy rain with it in the central and eastern parts of the country. On the plus side, temperatures will steadily rise from the record low temperatures of the weekend just passed (thermometers fell to -4.8 C on Sunday night/Monday morning). Heading into next weekend, night-time air temperatures will be in the range +6 to + 11 C, while during the daytime the thermometer will rise between +13 C and + 18 C.
