"Introverts" win Latvia's top design award

The "IAmIntrovert" campaign of Latvian Literature was named the best piece of Latvian design for the year 2019 at the annual Latvian Design Awards on April 4.

As previously reported numerous times by LSM, the campaign was launched in 2017 and initially met with some skepticism, but has gradually won over a legion of fans with Introverted clothes, books and even beer appearing along the way.

The award was won by the team including Una Rozenbauma (creative director, concept), Anete Konste (texts), Reinis Petersons (illustrations), Aija Baumane (design) and Toms Harjo (photography).

After a trial run in 2017, the campaign took the 2018 London Book Fair by storm and recently bowed out with a return to the London Book Fair in March, generating numerous column inches along the way for its self-deprecating humor.

Surprisingly, the introverts were persuaded to accept the award in person instead of having it mailed to them in an anonymous brown paper package.
