Latvia will get London introverted once again

Latvian Literature's campaign #iamintrovert, having won Latvia's top design award in 2019, will go to London Design Biennale in June 2021, Latvian Literature said October 21.

Artists Krista and Reinis Dzudzilo, in  collaboration with Latvian Literature platform and #iamintrovert campaign author, director Una Rozenbauma, have created an object Inor Introvert In Interior. The #iamintrovert comic characters would come alive and interact with visitors, the designers said.

"The object matches the exhibition room [in London's Biennale] itself, its two arc-shaped windows. Together they create a spatial trio.

In3 is (..) like a performative, living monument to Latvia's contemporary authors and literature," said Krista and Reinis Dzudzilo.

As reported by LSM, the campaign was launched in 2017, succeeded in both the 2018 London Book Fair and its return to the fair in 2019. The campaign has gathered masses of fans with its merch, clothes, books and beer.

London Design Biennale is a global gathering of the world’s most ambitious and imaginative designers, curators and design institutes. Resonance is the theme in 2021, which countries, cities and territories will respond to in their installations and presentations across exhibition hall Somerset House.
