As the week progresses, we will guide you through each day's festivities. Tickets are still available to many of them and some events are free, so everyone has the opportunity to experience part of the magic. Tickets are available for purchase on bilesuparadize.lv's Song and Dance Festival section.
Saturday, July 1
The first festival days only offer a few events each; starting Monday, July 3, the program is much more extensive.
Choir Competition Final
Time: 10:00 – midnight
Location: University of Latvia's Great Hall (Raiņa Boulevard 19); Rīga Latvian Society House (Merķeļa Street 13)
The Choir Competition Final will feature Latvia’s best amateur men's, women's, mixed, and senior choirs. The participants will be judged by an international jury.
The University of Latvia's Great Hall will host the mixed choirs starting at 11:00. Each choir has a mandatory piece which is the same for everyone and a piece of choice.
The Rīga Latvian Society House will host senior choirs (starting 12:00), men's choirs (starting 15:00), and women's choirs (starting 18:00). Each choir has a mandatory piece which is the same for everyone and a piece of choice.
Attendance is free and the event will be livestreamed on Latvian Television and on LSM, as well as on Latvian Radio 3.
Folk Applied Arts Exhibition "Mēs" (We)
Dates: July 1 – July 30
Time: 11:00 – 18:00
Location: Sporta Street 2
The folk applied arts exhibition will offer masterpieces by weavers, jewelers, wood crafters, and ceramics masters from Latvia, as well as informative materials and videos on the crafts and trades. Around 1,300 authors and 3,500 pieces of art will participate.
