Three Musical Events for the Weekend in Latvia

This atypically warm March weekend has arrived with musical exploration ahead. Here are three events for your end of the week.

Porta '24

The world music festival Porta, which takes place over several months with various events, begins this weekend with three concerts by L Au-Dessus (France) and Las Lloronas (Belgium).

"In the two-part concert, the creators of that home feeling, friendly atmosphere and a sense of strength, Las Lloronas from Belgium, will perform together with Nikolas Lopez and his concert program "Up There" - about time, new discoveries, and personal revelations of the French musician through visualizations of music and comic images," says the concert description.

The concerts take place March 15 in Liepāja, Culture House Wiktorija; March 16 in Rīga, K.K. fon Stricka Villa; March 17 in Cēsis, art space MALA.
