Song and Dance Festival tickets 40% more pricy than in 2018

The tickets to the XXVII Song and XVII Dance Festival this year are on average 40% more expensive than they were five years ago at the previous festival, according to newswire LETA's calculations.

The ticket prices are not final yet as they have to be approved by the Cabinet.

The grand finale of the festival, the concert "Kopā augšup" (Up together) at Mežaparks will have five types of tickets costing EUR 20; 40; 60; 80; and 100. In 2018, there were six categories with the prices of EUR 15; 25; 35; 45; 55; and 65. In 2013, the cheapest ticket cost 3 Ls or EUR 4.30.

Thus, for the final concert, the most expensive ticket will be 54% more expensive than in 2018, and the cheapest will be 33% more pricy than five years ago.

The biggest price increase is expected for the vocal–symphony music concert and for the grand dance concert.
