Where to await the New Year in Rīga?

Riga invites everyone to wait for the arrival of 2024 in the Old Town – to sing and dance, celebrate togetherness, and watch festive video projections.

The New Year's celebrations will take place in six Old Riga squares – Town Hall Square (Rātslaukums), Līvu Square, Pils Square, Kaļķu Street section between Vaļņu Street and Aspazijas Boulevard, the square outside Pulvertornis, as well as the square outside the Museum of Decorative Art and Design.

On each of the squares, with an entertaining music program, visitors will be delighted by six beloved DJs with dance music of different styles. DJ Stocka will be on stage at Town Square, DJ Magnuss Eriņš will be cheering everyone at Līvu Square, DJ Aspirins will take the reins at Pulvertornis, while DJ Dubra will take care of a good mood at the Square outside the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design. DJ Roberts Lejasmeijers will perform at the intersection of Vaļņu and Kaļķu Street, while of MC Valdis Melders will be in Pils Square.

Specially crafted festive video projections by artists Anna Meldrāja, Sandija Trautmane and Dāvis Kristaps Aigars on the theme “Winter fairy tales” will be on display on the facades of buildings.

Katrīna Dimanta and Zeltrači will perform at the Doma Square Christmas market between 21:00 and 23:00, while between 23:00 and 02:00 visitors will be entertained by DJ Toms Grēviņš.

Hot drinks and snacks will be available at event venues to warm visitors up. Maps of the venues for the New Year's celebrations will be placed in Old Riga, so that everyone can find the right place for themselves to welcome 2024.

At the peak of the event, before the clock tolls midnight, all those gathered will unite in a joint time countdown. The arrival 2024 will be marked with small pyrotechnic special effects.
