Aminata Savadogo’s Eurovision Song Contest entry “Love injected” landed in the middle of the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart of popular music, LETA reported from the British barometer of music hits Thursday.

Of eleven entries from this year’s 60th annual contest organized by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) of national public broadcasters, Aminata’s song entered the charts this week at number 51. However latest updates show the song falling to Number 62 in the second half of the week.

She placed sixth in the Final of the contest, which took place in Vienna on May 23.

Ahead of Aminata in the top 50 were Swedish winner Mans Zelmerlow’s “Heroes” (bulleting in at Number 3, dropping to Number 5), Belgium’s Loic Nottet with “Rhythm Inside” (Number 21, falling to Number 31) and Russia’s Polina Gagarina’s “A million voices” (Number 33, down to Number 44)

Other competitors lagged behind her impressive leap into the Official Chart, like British duo ElectroVelvet (53 down to 67), Australia’s first-ever contestant Guy Sebastian (55, down to 77), Israel’s Nadav Guedj (60, down to 81), Estonian Elina Born (71, down to 100).

Italy’s Il Volo (79), Serbia’s Bojana Stamenov (84) and Georgia’s Nina Sublatti (87) entered the Official Charts but subsequently dropped off the Top 100.
