Not even changeable weather was able to put a dampener on this year's Riga city festival, with organizers claiming more than 200,000 people enjoyed the entertainments on offer.
"Riga festival 2017, which took place in city gardens, parks and squares... was visited by more than 200,000 people - Rigans, visitors from the regions and tourists from a broad," said a release from the city council.
More than 50 diverse events, cultural and sports activities took place over three days and as usual the whole thing was rounded off by a firework display.
