On Thursday the festival will host a ‘Special Latvia Night’ at the Espace Senghor, with an early showing of Laila Pakalniņa’s “Hotel and the Ball” at 18:30 and later Herz Frank’s “les 7 Simeon”, with a reception in between organized jointly with Latvia’s Embassy to Belgium.
Also shown at the Millenium Festival were Herz Frank’s study of convicted death-row murderer Valerij Dolgov, Pakalniņa’s work “The Chimney” featuring child’s play in daily life, and a study based on a photo from the Holocaust “Madonna with Child”.
