The festival program is diverse: concerts, singing, dance, masterclasses and workshops, folklore, meetings with storytellers, walks, and other events.

The festival goes through Latvia with events in Sigulda municipality, Rīga, Alsunga, Talsi, Skrunda, Pope, Kuldīga, Ventspils, and other places in Kurzeme.

The festival program is available on the official website. Entrance to the events is free, except those within a museum territory.

In 2022, the theme of the International folklore festival is “Game” and the motto “Come and Play With Me.” Baltica has been taking place across the Baltic States since 1987, in cooperation with state and local government authorities, as well as non-governmental organizations.
