The Latvian Radio Choir has been continuously making Latvia better known across the world, and now their resonant voices have departed for the Vale of Glamorgan festival where they'll be performing pieces by Pēteris Vasks - this year's birthday boy and one of the best-known Latvian composers in the world, reported Latvian Television Monday.
The choir will perform at the festival, dedicated to living composers, on the evening of May 10. The choir last participated in the festival ten years ago.
While on the weekend the choir will be performing in Belgium with the "Across the Baltic Sea, straight to the soul" program telling about what's new in choral music.
And from May 19 to May 22 the Latvian Radio Choir will jump across the pond to perform at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, performing pieces by Mozart and Arvo Part.
