Three Culture Events for the Weekend in Latvia

For this chilly February weekend, we offer a selection of artistic and cinematic pleasures for your consideration.

Contemporary art

Kim? Contemporary Art Centre has opened two new exhibitions - group exhibition "Nothing to Write Home About" by gallery Jenny’s and the first solo exhibition by Kim? Open Call PILOT 2021 competition winner Sabīne Šnē "Partner, Parasite".

The exhibitions can be viewed at Kim? (Sporta iela 2, Rīga) starting February 17, 12:00 to 20:00. More information can be found on the website.

Four documentaries

As an introductory event to the 2ANNAS festival taking place in April, Splendid Palace cinema is screening four remastered documentaries on February 19, 19:00. The cycle 'Human' includes four short films from the 1970s and 1980s about Latvian cultural legends – Imants Ziedonis, Jānis Peters, Raimonds Pauls, and others.

Dubulti Art Station

From February 18 to April 7, Māris Čakča's personal exhibition 'The world in the Neuro-Pathways' will be open at the Dubulti Art Station, in Jūrmala, Dubulti. Exhibition tours with the artist and the curator – February 19, 15:00, and April 3, 15:00.
