ChoirUp has been bringing people together for four years to unite in song. This year, the event will be dedicated to Ukraine. Together with conductor Nora Žeigure and musician Kārlis Būmeisters, everyone attending will be able to record Scorpions' Wind of Change, sung together in a crowd. The event will continue with songs about peace and power, and throughout the event, donations for the association Agendum will be collected to contribute to Twitterconvoy.
The event takes place at Tallinas kvartāla Angārs (Tallinas Street 10) on Friday, March 2, 19:00.
Artdocfest/Riga
The third international film festival Artdocfest/Riga takes place March 2 to 9, with various documentary screenings at the Splendid Palace cinema. The schedule of the festival is available here.
Latvian Book Exhibit
From March 3 to 5, the Latvian Book Exhibit 2023 at the Ķīpsala Exhibition Center BT1 will offer meetings with writers, brand new books for viewing and purchase, books for exchange, authors' readings, and other book-related activities. Exhibition opens at 10:00 and closes at 17:00.
