It's the final weekend of May -- summer is fast approaching. Here are some tips to take advantage of springtime.

Door Seeker in Rīga

On Saturday, May 29, a photo-orienteering event is taking place in the center of Rīga with the focus on different doors found in the capital. The game can be attended in teams of two to five people (applications here). The task will be to visit different spots marked on a map and find particular doors, as well as extra tasks to be explained on site.

Organizers ask that you sign up timely. The event begins at 10 AM Saturday at Trīs Vīri Laivā (Avotu Street 35). More information on the Facebook event. The language of the game is Latvian.

Night of Churches

The annual Night of Churches event takes place May 29, with 97 churches all over Latvia taking part. The churches (map below) will be open starting 12 AM for individual visits. Many will stream concerts live on their social media accounts.
