Take note – story published 3 years ago

Even though face-to-face events are banned and will likely be for some time, more and more entertainment opportunities are emerging online. Here are a few tips for a winter weekend.

Latvian Radio choir concert Live

Latvian Radio choir and renowned conductor Mārtiņš Klišāns are offering a live concert from Sv. Jāņa church on Friday, December 11, at 21:00. The 'Northern Lights' program will include Latvian neo-romanticism composers Ēriks Eševalds and Jēkabs Jančevskis pieces, as well as famous Christmas tunes in Nordic composer arrangements.

Event will be streamed live on Facebook and Latvian Concerts homepage.

Sensations theater

Ģertrūdes Street theater has produced a 40-minute auditory adventure to be enjoyed at home. The play "Jums ir apdegušas ausis) (Your ears are burnt) is based on sensation - using ASMR and binaural audio techniques, the listener is invited to enjoy a sensation journey at a time when physical travel is limited.

Language of the play is Latvian, but, as said, the sound effects and quality are more important here. The play is available on Ģertrūdes Street theater website anytime from December 2 to December 31 after purchasing the ticket.

Loop game "Chasing a Christmas tree"

Loop game organizer Cilpo is offering a chance to make your winter walk a little more interesting. The game is based on GPS location - when going on a walk, periodical trivia questions will appear, answers to which will make up the final answer. The game is in Latvian.

"Cilpojam pēc eglītes" or "Chasing a Christmas tree" game is winter-themed, and available from December 10 to play anywhere in the world.
