Open Days in the Countryside 2021
Open Days (Atvērtās dienas laukos) is an event of traveling around Latvia and visiting local producers, farmers, enterprises, to see what they have to offer. Participants range from accommodation services to food producers, beekeepers, farms, restaurants, castles and mansions, nature trails, and others.
The list of the participants this year is found on the Rural Traveler website, along with a map (HERE). Whether signup is needed is indicated by each participant.
Carnival Youth online
The well-known Latvian band Carnival Youth is livestreaming a concert free on Ķekavas municipality Facebook page and YouTube account.
The concert begins Saturday, June 12, at 9 PM.
Vērmanes Garden birthday fair
Vērmanes Garden in the center of Rīga is celebrating its birthday by hosting a fair from June 11 to 13. Local producers of arts, crafts, food, clothing, alcohol are in store, as well as an outdoor cafe.
The park is turning 207 years old since its creation in 1814.
Entry to the fair is free.
