Making an ant's nest the Irregular Latvian way

Take note – story published 3 years ago

Need something to occupy your time under lockdown? How about making an ant's nest and then eating it? That's the latest suggestion from our favorite YouTuber, Anete Germane, also known as the "Irregular Latvian".

"We get our inspiration from ANTS – the most hardworking insect we know. So today learn to make this ICONIC LATVIAN DESSERT – Skudrupūznis (Ant’s nest)," she invites her 4,000 YouTube subscribers.

A masterclass in the art of ant's nest construction and consumption follows. The ingredients are minimal: cookies, condensed milk and unsalted butter. The results however are maximal, for your taste buds, cholesterol and waistline!

If you're in the mood for more Latvian desserts, Anete also has this offering from a few months ago.
