Now NATO - of which Latvia as been a full member for 12 years - has produced an excellent video to introduce the monument - and 'Milda' atop it - to the world.
Accompanying the footage are the reminiscences of Ojārs Eriks Kalniņš, formerly Latvia's ambassador to the United States and now a respected member of the Latvian Saeima.
