Latvian writer Inguna Bauere dies

Well-known Latvian writer Inguna Bauere passed away Friday night, publisher house Zvaigzne ABC owner Vija Kilbloka writes on Facebook.

"This morning has brought very painful news – writer Inguna Bauere has died. The doctors in Rīga and Madona did everything in their power, we were all with her in our love and thoughts, we prayed for her, but Inguna did not have enough strength this time. Huge pain of loss for the family, all of us who knew and loved her," Kilbloka writes.

Inguna Bauere most often wrote about Latvia in the historical context. Having researched in depth the 18th and 19th century in the territory, her works always had a detailed historical background.

Our deepest condolences to Inguna Bauere's loved ones.
