The “Melo-M” cello trio and the opera singer Sonora Vaice have created an outdoor concert program to surprise and delight the residents and guests of Riga and its guests, the musicians' representatives said Tuesday.

The concert program includes pieces from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera “The Marriage of Figaro,” Giacomo Puccini's opera “La Bohéme,” Giuseppe Verdi's opera “Rigoletto” and many other classical and modern music pieces.

Hour-long concerts are available to everyone for free, and a total of six concerts will be played in different areas of Rīga, with the intention of creating a contrast between the concert environment and the sound of elite music.

The first concert will take place on Brīvības Square on July 20 at 14:00, and the next will be on the same day at 16:00 at the Ķengarags market.. Concerts will take place in Arkādijas Park and at Imanta market on August 10, at 14:00 and 16:00 respectively, and Pļavnieku market on August 17 at 16:00. The final concert will take place at the Riga National Zoo on August 17 at 18.00.

Concerts are implemented with the co-financing of the Riga City Council in the framework of the Riga summer cultural program of 2023.
