Latvian JZ Microphones awarded intellectual property prize

The Latvian company “JZ Microphones” is awarded the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Award for business, said the Patent Office of Latvia February 16.

The company has registered several designs and trademarks both in Latvia and internationally. “JZ Microphones” was nominated by the Patent Office for the WIPO Award.

In 2007, JZ Microphones was founded in Riga by a professional jeweler and engineer, Juris Zariņš. 

The WIPO prize is awarded for the use of intellectual property for the implementation of an innovative commercial strategy.

Latvian companies that have previously got the award are Primekss in 2015, Latima in 2017, Latvijas finieris in 2018, Mikrotīkls in 2019 and Madara Cosmetics in 2020, said the Patent Office.
