Latvian hockey team loses to Slovakia

On Saturday evening Latvian hockey team lost its second game in the world championship to Slovakia, with a result of 1:2.

At the start of the championship, the Latvian ice hockey players suffered defeat against Canada, while the Slovak team– against the Czechs. As a result, both Latvian and Slovak national teams need a win in a mutual game to increase their chances of entering the quarter-finals.

The Latvian team will play against the Czech Republic on Monday, and with Norway, Slovenia, Kazakhstan and Switzerland later. The group's four most powerful teams will enter the quarter-finals.
