The latest wins by both the women's and men's beach volleyball pairs at the Tokyo Olympics have increased Latvia's chances of more medals.

Tīna Graudiņa and Anastasija Kravčenoka on Sunday confirmed a place in the quarter finals of the women's draw with a win over the Russian Olympic Committee pair. They now face Canada on Tuesday.

Their win was followed up Monday morning by a win for Mārtiņš Pļaviņš and Edgars Točs who overcame a Brazilian pairing. They will next face either the second Brazilian pair or Mexico in Wednesday's quarter final.

You can follow the progress of the Latvian competitors in Tokyo live at LSM's dedicated sub-site which includes live coverage.
