Covid-19 certificate holders can access indoor sports from next week

As of June 15, indoor sports training will be available to those who have received a Covid-19 certificate, and it will be allowed to organize sports competitions outside, government decided June 10.

Indoor sports will be available to persons who are vaccinated against Covid-19, have overcome Covid-19 in the past six months or have a certificate attesting that a person has carried out a Covid-19 test in the last 48 hours for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 virus RNA, which is negative, or a negative SARS-CoV-2 virus antigen test carried out within the past six hours

Indoor sports will be allowed to take place both individually and within a group, observing epidemiological safety measures. One person must be provided at least 25 square meters of the space available to visitors. In a swimming pool, 15 square meters of surface area must be provided per person.

The fill of sports facilities must not exceed 20% of the maximum possible number of people allowed by the infrastructure of those spaces. Information, including in foreign languages, on the maximum number of people who can be present at the same time must be placed at the entrance. The maximum fill of locker rooms and reception areas should not exceed 25%.

A maximum of 12 persons, including sports specialists, may be present in group training in a single training group. If the area permits, flows of groups do not overlap physically, and separate monitoring of their activities can be ensured, the several groups can train at the same time. The workout time must not exceed 90 minutes.

In case where infection with Covid-19 is determined, the Disease Prevention and Control Center is entitled to request the authorities to transfer personal data and information regarding the date and place of the activities.

The government also decided that organized sports competitions would be allowed outside.

Competitions must be included in the competition calendar of the sports federation recognized in accordance with the procedures specified by the Sports Law. Athletes under the age of seven will not be allowed to participate in competitions.

No more than 300 persons, including athletes and employees who are directly related to ensuring the conduct of the competition, will be allowed to be present at the venue of the competition.
